Growing up in a home with a vegetarian mum, my family and I learned to love veggies, especially the way my mum prepared them. Nothing tastes better that a veg curry prepared by a vegetarian. Vegetarians take so much pride in preparing their foods, and every detail has to be immaculate. When it comes to green beans, every green bean needs to be cut perfectly. We don't want short and chunky, but long and thinly sliced.
Most people are terrified by the thought of eating veg foods, we have become so caught up in a lifestyle that places meat dishes at the center.
Foods of color are so nutritious and eating healthy doesn't have to be boring or tasteless. A healthier lifestyle means eating more vegetables so here's my green bean fry recipe.
You will need
400g Green Beans Slithered
1 Onion
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
3 tsp Chilli Powder
Salt to taste
3 tbsp Coconut Oil
Method
In a pot add oil and onions, fry till onions start to brown
Add turmeric and chilli powder and stir in
Add green beans, salt and fry on low stirring occasionally for +/- 15 minutes
